January 2011 Delicate touched by cranes: The "Crazy House" of Bispingen
As soon as while construction a crane from Röhrs Crane Rental helped to bring the components for the "Crazy House" in Bispingen into the right position. At this point all people stood still on the ground. Now it has been done:
The "Crazy House" stands on its head. The working men don't needed more than just an half an hour. First the works have been proceeded so far as two telescopic cranes of Röhrs Crane Rental were able to lift the 30 tons building on its roof. Two oversized wooden handle have been mounted at the upper floor of the house, at which the ropes of the cranes have been fixed. Very slowly the house has been lifted until it finally overturned by itself on the vertex.
Through this powerful drive even the huge cranes started springing. The next step now is the ground floor. The last parts of the building will be delivered on Wednesday. The ground floor, which is naturally on the top of the "Crazy House" - and the floor are built out of them.
Top out is planned in the middle of February. From the end of March the "Crazy House" should be opened for guests. Visitors than could run on the ceiling through the two floors and could try out, how it is to stand oneself on its head without leaving feets from the floor.
A Videostreams
made by NDR shows impressively, how the building has been built and at least put on its top
An order, where it was required once more the skill and competence of RÖHRS crane operators.
