January 2009 Boiler installation for a new industrial power plant at the industrial park Gersthofen

A new industrial power plant, so-called “refuse derived fuels (RDF)” plant, which will generate electricity and mainly damp by a non-polluting combined heat and power generation procedure, is now built in the industrial area of Gersthofen.

Annually a fuel demand of ca. 70,000 to of refuse derived fuels is provided. It is already the second plant of this type built by MVV Energiedienstleistungen GmbH.

For this plant the piping installation division of Röhrs AG executed the complete boiler installation including ECO and internals as well as the entire interior pipe work of the boiler. It concerns about a hanging boiler consisting of membrane wall segments. The mounting occurs top-down. Boiler and internal piping consist of material 16Mo3.
