October 2009 “Soltau half past nine in the morning…”
Brittle brickstone has lost from the concrete ledge of the steeple of St. Johannis Church in Soltau and risked to hurt pedestrians by falling down.
To calculate the necessary reconstructions at the 70 meter steeple, the Church of St. Johannis gave an order to Röhrs Crane Rental to inspect the steeple with one of their modern telecranes in regard to further damages.
An operating platform was pulled to the height of the steeple by the aid of a crane equipped by a 52 m mainboom and lattice mast extension, so that the brittle brickstone could directly removed and the scope of reconstructions at the tower could be stipulated.
